Business Development Representative

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

LISNR is seeking a Business Development Representative to support to support our commercial growth by driving sales opportunities and providing data insights to optimize performance. This hybrid role combines 70% sales responsibilities with 30% analytical work, focusing on data-driven sales strategy, customer engagement, and partnership growth. This role is crucial in driving sales while leveraging data analysis to support our growth objectives. As a key player, you will manage our CRM tool (Salesforce), develop sales forecasts, and facilitate collaboration between the Commercial and Finance teams.

Reporting to the Head of Growth, the Business Development Representative  is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound leads, driving and converting leads to qualified opportunities, and reporting / analysis techniques. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the commercial cycle and transition to internal stakeholders with the end goal of closing and launching new business. Will ensure resolution of issues and provide feedback to the Commercial teams if necessary


Job Responsibilities:  
  • Sales & Partnership Enablement (70%)
    • Assist the company in converting leads to opportunities starting with a comprehensive product understanding and leading to customer research
    • Identify, assess, and prioritize new business opportunities including new markets, product expansions, and partnerships by researching potential accounts, building relationships through nurturing identified prospects, leads, and outdated opportunities.
    • Support the commercial team in managing relationships via thorough pipeline analysis and management of identified key partners, whether signed or unsigned.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis (30%)
    • Work with Commercial / Finance teams to provide monthly and quarterly reporting as well as pricing and deal term analysis to support contract negotiations and customer acquisition
    • Create and present reports and dashboards for senior leadership on key findings, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
  • Best Practices & Process Improvement
    • Identify best practices and utilize SalesForce, LinkedIn, cold calling, email, and other tools to generate new opportunities
    • Work closely with management to ensure process quality, prioritize opportunities for improvement, and oversee contract lifecycle. Assist the leadership team in developing business strategies and growth initiatives. Provide data-driven insights to inform key decision-making processes.
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers, partners, and executives
    • Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.

Requirements:
  • Sales related experience with strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in an ever-changing and demanding environment
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales
  • Understanding of financial analysis, including financial modeling and pricing is preferred
  • Proven ability to handle discreet and confidential information, be adaptable to various competing demands, once you and demonstrate the highest level of customer /client service.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
Education/ Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a sales related role
  • Experience with CRM and Analytical tools, such as Pardot, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Looker, SQL, etc.
  • Highly Professional Demeanor in dealing with all levels of management, including executive staff.
  • Proficient in Google Office, MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
